Children’s Development Centre

The Children’s Development Centre (CDC) in Saanich (SD63) started as a seismic upgrade project, and the PDR stage concluded that a completely new replacement school was financially more viable.

Construction began in Fall 2020, and the existing school was maintained as fully operational on site during the entire course of construction until the new school was ready to move into during the summer of 2022.

Bradley Shuya Architect Inc. designed the new CDC school to be energy efficient with a high performance building envelope and mechanical system, PV solar panels, and other green building systems. This new single storey school building measures 470 sq m.
